The COVID-19 pandemic has once again brought unprecedented challenges for planning a safe in-person NAGDCA Annual Conference in September. We appreciate the feedback many of you shared in the recent member survey. The majority of those who responded indicated they do not plan to travel or were unsure of their plans to travel to an in-person conference. Health and safety concerns as well as budget restrictions were among the top reasons given. Considering this feedback and, out of an abundance of caution for our members, NAGDCA is strongly considering transitioning from a hybrid event to an all-virtual Annual Conference.
This is a difficult decision for us and not one we take lightly given the benefits of gathering in person. We are working with the hotel to ensure there is not a negative financial impact to NAGDCA and we expect to have a final decision in the coming weeks.
