First-ever compilation of Association’s collective knowledge provides overview of recordkeeping, asset management, and consulting model fee types and structures; recordkeeping cost drivers and impact on plan expenses
Lexington, KY, October 3, 2024—The National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators today announced availability of the NAGDCA Fees Guide for public sector DC retirement plans. NAGDCA is the premier professional association for plan administrators and services providers of government-sponsored defined contribution retirement plans.
“One of the most important aspects of managing a public sector defined contribution plan is understanding the costs associated with the plan,” said Matt Petersen, NAGDCA Executive Director. “Plan sponsors will have to negotiate many different fees in many different circumstances over the course of their careers. Our intent with this document is to provide a foundational resource to enhance understanding of the various DC plan fee types and structures that can be used as a reference for each new situation public plan sponsors encounter.”
“While NAGDCA has provided important plan fee negotiating information and insights for administrators, boards, and committees throughout its history, this is the first time we’re offering a compendium of the primary components of our collective knowledge into a single source,” Matt concluded.
Developed by NAGDCA’s Fees Task Force, the NAGDCA Fees Guide includes an overview of:
- recordkeeping fee types and structures
- asset management fee types and structures
- consulting model types, fee structures, and additional services
- recordkeeping cost drivers and their impact on plan expenses
The NAGDCA Fees Guide may be accessed here.
